This is a great store run by a very principled owner. Bakery and deli uses all organic ingredients. She pays attention to all details where health is concerned. Best bread in Oberlin. --99.137.202.108, 16 December 2009

An extremely pleasant place. Good coffee. --Alxndr 11:17, 26 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Awesome coconut lattés, too. And good rooibos. --68.197.72.206, 23 April 2009

Yeah, it's obscenely overpriced, but the quality of stuff is good and it's a nice place to relax and read. Their produce section is severely lacking, but they've got some unusual Asian ingredients and good canned soups. Unfortunately I've heard that the lady who runs the place is a bit crazy. --132.162.70.248 13:08, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

It's a terrible shame that such a lovely location and concept for a food establishment could be ruined by the bad behavior and general unpleasantness of the egomaniacal owner. She gives off such bad vibes and is generally unfriendly. I have multiple friends who have had terrible work experiences there dealing with the owner's passive-aggressive bullshit. What Oberlin really needs is a natural foods store/cafe co-op where prices are reasonable and the space is friendly. --132.162.68.26, 14 December 2009

It's so unfortunate that some have had bad experiences in the market...mine have been nothing but good with the owner. I recently had some extreme health issues occurring in my family and she took a great deal of time with me and answered all of my questions. After we had met she called me a few days later with some more ideas she thought might be helpful. As far as the bread - it's the best, the produce is best to get early in the week (I have found it goes very fast) all of her supplements are fantastic. The prices aren't actually all that bad either if you compare them to other prices in the area. —208.93.188.162 (14:16, 6 January 2010EST)

New to the area- LUCKY to have a market like that close. But it is a shame that the markups on certain items are SO high. I buy from local farm products there, and I buy the baked items. But the things I could find at Trader Joes for a fraction of the price, A BIG fraction, sadly- I buy at Trader Joes. But being vegan and having the market less than a mile from my home is wonderful. I've never met the owner, but if I was ever treated rudely I would stop shopping there. —206.53.153.184 (16:26, 13 February 2010EST)

The owner of the market can be quiet but is so full of love once you get to know here. I happen to know a lot of the people who have recently had bad work experiences at the market, and let's just say they each had A LOT of growing up to do. Like many health foods, Leeza the owner is an acquired tasted, one that I greatly appreciate in the many years I've known her/worked in the market. Oberlin College kids are often spoiled and full of shit and don't know how to work hard, myself included. Employers don't usually jive with that. —108.7.203.122 (23:43, 4 July 2010 EDT)
