Acting 1: Fundamentals
(Redirected from THEA 100)
Description from course catalog
- The focus of this class is on developing specific techniques basic to American acting traditions (conversational reality; executing activities; playing intentions) and applying these skills first in exercises, then in contemporary scene work. Auditions (prepare one- to two-minute contemporary monologue) will be scheduled during the week preceding registration for spring semester. (THEA 100 is intended for first- and second-year students only; juniors and seniors interested in an introductory acting class should enroll in THEA 105.)
Opinions
Paul Moser is a great teacher. This was easily the most enjoyable/ productive class of my first year at Oberlin. Recommended to anyone, regardless of plans to continue acting. --208.20.146.75 (13 August 2007)
