South Amherst

Closest sizeable ("sizeable" meaning population of 1,500 or so) town to Oberlin. Directly north of Oberlin; reachable by Russia Rd., OH-113, Pyle-South Amherst Rd., or a number of other ways.

As might seem obvious, it's south of Amherst. (But on the other hand, South Dakota is in the northern United States.)
