LiveJournal is a popular free hosted journal service. Members can create and join communities focusing on certain topics, so of course there are Oberlin-ish topics...

• oberlin: "This is a community for Obies to advertise upcoming events, locate a ride or a rental, rant about campus and local politics, make friends, or talk about whatever else is on our minds." This community is by far the most active, with over 700 members. The anonymous confessions threads in this community have gained notoriety among some students.
• obie_questions: "This is the community for incoming first years, perspective students and anyone else to ask any question they might have about Oberlin."
• There is a syndicated account for the RSS feed of the most recent edits to Oberwiki.
• o_s_c_a: "this is the community for the Oberlin Student Cooperative Association"
