John Pearson is a Professor in the Oberlin Art department. Since the 1960s he has been creating large format minimalist colorfield paintings reminiscent of the work of Ellsworth Kelley, Robert Mangold, and Brice Marden. His work has been shown internationally and in important US art cities like the booming Cleveland metropolis. Rumor has it that he showed with Donald Judd in New York, and once met Jasper Johns at a swanky cocktail party. He now lives with his lovely wife Audra Skuodas in an ex-furniture store on College Street.
