Jewish Studies
The Jewish Studies program presents an interdisciplinary curriculum focusing on Jewish religion, history, and culture. JWST majors are encouraged to live in Johnson House and to study Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino and Judeo-Arabic elsewhere in approved programs.
Majors in JWST must complete 30 hours of JWST courses including:
- Two semesters of Hebrew
- Two additional introductory courses
- History Concentration: three additional JWST history courses and a 300s level seminar
- Religion Concentration: three additional JWST religion courses and a 300s level seminar
- Three elective JWST courses
JWST minors need only complete 15 hours of JWST courses.
