Interstate 80

The road that connects New Jersey and San Francisco passes just north of Oberlin. Around these parts, it's also known as the Ohio Turnpike, and is a toll road from Chicago to the eastern border of Ohio.

Exit 140 will spit you out on 58 six miles north of Oberlin proper. Driving west from the eastern border of Ohio to exit 140 costs $4.25 (as of June 2007). You could also get off at exit 151 and take 10 to 20 to 511/Lorain Street.

Has recently built a ramp that allows for a quick pass from OH-58 North to I-90. The toll is 50 cents for those two miles.

The speed limit on 80 is 65 mph, which means going 85 is not out of the question.

There are a bunch of service plazas that feel like airports scattered along this road.
