[edit] General Responsibilities
Initiating and coordinating efforts to keep co-op dining halls clean, safe and functioning. This includes ongoing education of the membership on Ohio Health Code, food safety, cleanliness, and equipment operation as well as long-range planning. The CMC works closely with the Operations Managers, Food Safety Coordinator, Education Coordinator, College Officials, County Health Officials, the OSCA Board, and the individual co-op People Coordinators (PoCos) and Kitchen Coordinators (KitchCos).

- Responsible for returning to campus early to oversee areas of cleanliness and maintenance during
open-up.
- Arrive in time to complete ServSafe certification before first semester of job.
- Organize new member training programs at the beginning of each semester.
- Train the individual dining People Coordinators and Kitchen Coordinators regarding issues of
sanitation, safety, maintenance and resources at the beginning of each semester. Train KitchCos on the College system of work orders.
- Ensure that individual co-ops hold fall and spring commandos (clean-ups).
- Close down co-ops at the end of each semester.

- Learn about the College system of work orders. The source could be the Operations Managers and
Operations Assistant of Residential Life & Services.
- Know how equipment functions.
- Know about Lorain County Health, Safety, and Sanitation Laws for food service establishments. Your
ServSafe course book is an excellent resource. You will also be given names and numbers of helpful individuals. The OSCA Cleanliness Manual is also an appropriate source for this information.

- Work very closely with the Operations Managers and Food Safety Coordinator. Inform them of ideas,
plans of action, and any derivation from the cleanliness standards in the dining co-ops.
- Be available and willing to help the individual dining co-op People Coordinators and Kitchen
Coordinators.
- Serve as the contact person between OSCA and the Lorain County Health Inspector.
- Remain in contact with Residential Life & Services pertaining to cleanliness and maintenance issues
in the dining co-ops.
- Keep in close contact with the all-OSCA Education Coordinator, and individual co-op PoCos and
KitchCos in regards to ongoing member education.
