Chemistry and Biochemistry

The Chemistry department is located on the second and third floors of the Science Center. It contains a hall on each floor adorned with research and teaching laboratories and professors' offices, as well as its department office, computer lab, and standard classroom (A255) on the second floor. Some consider the David Love Lounge, located next to the Chemistry computer lab, to be part of the department.

The Chemistry department administers two majors, Chemistry and Biochemistry. Requirements for each are similar, but Chemistry requires advanced lab courses, while Biochemistry requires the Biochemistry course as well as Cell and Molecular Biology in the Biology department.
