Beards and bass

Beards and Bass is Oberlin's only and best Hot Jazz band, playing the music of Django Reinhardt, among others. They were formed in 2010. The members are:

Janie Cowan ('10) is the bass player emeritus, having played with the band from their inception until 2011.

They play every other Tuesday night at Agave, at 9:15ish, and also are known to play the Observatory Open Viewing Sessions on the first and third Fridays of the month, at 9:00 PM, weather permitting.
